Sharron describes herself as, “an ordinary wife, mother, and Mimi to five grandchildren who works for an international charity by day and writes by night.
Sharron explains, “I blog to offer hope and encouragement to families in the throes of addiction (all forms of addiction, substances or behaviors) that have caused you or a loved one to lose control of their life. I have walked the addiction road for 18 years as my son struggled with drug addiction. I’ve met many mothers along that road who have lost all hope that their child will ever be whole and healthy.”
Additionally, Sharron says, “I have learned over the last three years of my son’s recovery walk that time takes time.” Recovery is definitely a “one day at a time” proposition.”
She is the author of Praying for Your Addicted Loved One: 90 in 90, a book that provides ninety devotions of strength, hope, and encouragement to families coping with addiction.
Sharron’s writing is also featured in the newest book by Max Lucado titled You’ll Get Through This: Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times. (Salvation Army Edition)
She and her husband/pastor Dan minister together at the church they established in 2012, Recovery Church in Brandon, Florida.
