LOUIS (LOU) SMITH

After graduation from Pensacola High School in Pensacola, Florida, Lou studied Psychology, Theology, and Broadcasting at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and then at the University of South Florida.

Lou later taught public speaking on the university level at USF, and was also host of a talk show on Channel 16 TV where he interviewed interesting people such as Josh MacDowell, the National Treasurer of the NAACP, and an assortment of attorneys and writers on many subjects of interest.

Smith has also served the Land o’ Lakes community on its Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, on the East Pasco Committee of 100, as a volunteer fireman, and as Honorary Mayor of Land ‘O’ Lakes.

Lou’s writings include sermons, scholastic papers, and love notes to his wife, Vivian, who died in December 2011.
