Jennifer grew up in Tampa, Florida, and joined the Navy as a Photographer’s Mate at the age of 21. It wasn’t long before her rate merged with journalists, illustrator draftsmen, and lithographers. She then became a Mass Communications Specialist traveling and documenting the stories of those she served alongside. Jennifer had several of her photographs and stories published online, in the Flagship newspaper, and also aboard the U.S.S. George Washington.
She was medically retired after a near fatal car accident in 2009 that ultimately took her faith to a new level. Jennifer’s love for writing and encouraging others prompted her to begin writing her own memoir about the beauty that can come from a tragedy.
Jennifer is currently a senior at the University of Tampa where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Writing. She enjoys writing creative non-fiction and poetry. She is actively involved in church and sings on the worship team. While she does have a church home at Bay Word Ministries, she and her husband Casey, “go wherever the spirit leads at the moment.” Jennifer adds, “We are all ultimately one church. We like to see all that God is doing within the body of the church as a whole.” Her passion is to use the arts to glorify God in any way possible, and to mentor others to do the same.
Newlyweds Jennifer and Casey reside in Tampa with their four-year-old Cockapoo named Dallas.
