Christmas is just two weeks away, and we want to wish everyone a wonderful and blessed Christmas season. May your Christmas be filled with family and faith as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

We also want to remind you to save the date as we kick off yet another wonderful year of Brandon Christian Writers.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 16. BCW is proud to present radio personality, columnist, speaker, and bestselling author Suzanne Woods Fisher, author of award-winning fiction and nonfiction books about the Amish.

Suzanne’s topic for aspiring writers of all levels of experience and genres will be “Stepping off the Curb: Taking Risks in Your Writing.”

There’s an element of danger in writing – fear of failure and countless rejections, for one. Feeling exposed to the world in your underwear, for another. Suzanne will share her own journey to publication and a few things she gleaned along the path that should help make your experience easier, less anxiety-ridden, more fruitful and fun.

Join us for her talk and light refreshments in room 305 of the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church Family Center Building, 3315 Bryan Road, Brandon, FL 33511.

Suzanne Woods Fisher is the bestselling, award-winning author of ‘The Stoney Ridge Seasons’ series and ‘The Lancaster County Secrets’ series, as well as nonfiction books about the Amish, including Amish Peace. Suzanne is a columnist for Christian Post and has a free downloadable app, Amish Wisdom, which delivers a daily Amish proverb to your iPhone, iPad or Android. Suzanne lives with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visit Suzanne online at www.suzannewoodsfisher.com.
